Question Ride Height

Is there anyway to lower a bronco without eating the tires?I want to lower it 2" in the front and level the rear.I know that it is a 4 wheel drive,But I do more highway driving than anything.I know that lowering the truck will not be a problem. The problem will be alighning the tires.Anyone with knowledge in this area please respond.TY

IT WOULD BE TRIAL AND EROR BUT TRY CUTTING 1 COIL AT A TIME OFF THE FRONT SPRINGS, IF ALL YOU WANT IS A 2" DROP. dw

I hope you are planning on getting new tires because I know those 32's won't clear

You can't cut a round off of 1980 and up springs because of the ends. Most Bronco's sag in the front anyway so I doubt you could lower it and still compensate with an alignment. TTb's have a narrow acceptable range of operation anyway without severe modification. If you do have the room though, I'm sure you can buy softer springs from a spring dealer. As for the rear, taking out one leaf on each side or longer shackles should do plenty. My advice would be to just put on some small tires and see if that's good enough.

I had My bronco lowered about 3"s in the front and 4"s in the rear . I did this by cutting 2 ciols out on the front which turned out to be a little too much . It dropped about 5"s in the front so I got airlift coil bags for about 60 bucks and set it around 3"s . It was ridding on the bump stops in the front at 5"s. The rear I did with drop shackles for a F150 . Here is the pic with the 17" rims on it . As far as the alignment goes we set it as close as we could get it , was only out about 2 degrees .

And as far as the go like Mattg said . You have to cut a little more than a coil off and move the retaining clip to a straight spot . You have to look at the coil bucket to understand what I am saying .
