2 out the 3 rear glass panes are not working well on my truck.
I turned it on this am and the one panel melted off all the frost like it should have but the center and drivers side barely melted off where the lines are.
I let it run a cycle then pushed the button again, by this time the whole passenger side was clear, but after 2 full cycles the driver and center panes were maybe 1/2 melted
Anyone know a quick trouble shooting tip can do before I call the shop
Might be worth cycling (open / close) the power sliding rear window two- or three times to wipe / clean / reposition the center- and driver side element connections.

Thanks, i'll give it a try, i am figuring that it must be connection issue as the truck only has 10k on it and it is its first winter
Hi, as my one also have same problem as 3 rear glass panes are not working. i already contract with dealer but didn't get any positive response.
I have the same problem. I took it to the dealership and they are replacing the entire rear window under warranty. Only the section behind the drivers seat works. The sliding portion and the portion behind the passenger seat do not defrost. Hope that helps.
My 2017 had this and it took an act of congress to get it fixed. I bounced around to a couple of dealers and they refused to replace it under warranty because I didn't by the truck from them. F%#k you Bowditch Ford in Newport News, VA.
I complained enough to the buying dealer in Virginia Beach, that they finally sent a glass company to my office and had the entire window replaced.
I took mine to the dealer for the same problem. Just like moynihan1129, they also replaced the entire back glass under warranty. Works great now. They said the connector to the glass was bad and Ford just replaces the whole window instead of fixing the connector. Fine with me, I'm not paying for it.
moynihan1129,
How long was your truck in the shop to get your new rear window?
They diagnosed it during an oil change and had to order the window. My dealer has a shuttle, so I went there first thing in the AM to drop it off, they gave me a ride to work and picked me up at 5 when it was done. I am assuming it should take no more than 2 hours to complete though.
On a side note, does everyone’s rear def come on automatically when using remote start
Yes!!! What's up with that??
It's cold outside, but no frost on windows and the dam thing still turns on. As soon as I get in....I turn it off. We should be able to turn that off, on remote start, but that's not happening on my 2017 F350

How do you have the climate controls set for your remote start? Automatic depending on outside temp, or last setting? I wonder if it will still come on if you use the last setting feature.

I'm trying that tonight... but I'm guessing that will do the trick.
