My local Ford parts department wasn't able to help me, hoping someone here can.
It's the blue part in the pictures.
What's the name or part #? It has a # on it A11335-D, but that gets nothing. it seems to have something to do with the chime for the key still being in the ignition when you open the drivers door.
That part does not show up on any data base I can find, but try calling the help number for parts.ford.com and you can talk to a Ford Motor Company employee and describe the part and maybe send them the picture you posted. The help number is 844-589-0060
Thanks, I've also dug a little deeper and it's part of a yellow wire harness that runs along the bottom of the steering column from the back of the steering wheel. The 3rd picture is of the PATS still installed, the green rubber band is holding the blue part i'm looking for.

Good morning every! I just purchased my first Ford Ranger yesterday. Its a 1999 xlt, 2.5L 4cyl. w/ 130k original miles on it. I am having much trouble figuring out the name of this little light blue connector that seems to connect to the side of the Ignition Key Cylinder. I have also not been able to find the proper wiring diagram online... I think I should just but a new portion of the wiring harness inside steering column. If anyone could please help me figure out the name of this broken piece, or the name or part number of the harness itself so i can just replace the entire section of the plug, and if this is something i need to go to the dealer, or maybe even a junk car to salvage the part off of? Thanks for your input. Here is a picture of my ignition situation.
Wow that sure looks like it! Any suggestion on where i should purchase a new one? Online vs local dealer? Is it necessary for the vehicle to start/run? When i insert the little metal piece into the ignition area where it belongs i get a continuous "Ding ding ding" so im planning on replacing the Key Ignition Cylinder as well. Hopefully the combo will help me solve this problem. I also need to adress a "door adjar" light thats stuck on.
I was having issues with the PATS "Passive Anti-theft System "
I went to my local pick n pull and snipped one from a wrecked ranger and replaced mine with it. That fixed my theft system, that and new keys.
Your door ajar problem is more likely the sensor at the door latch.

Did you just snip out that little plastic/metal connector and re-crimp it to your truck or did you have to replace the entire yellow harness? I pretty sure mine doesnt have the PATS system, i didnt see it in there which could be a lot more convenient.
