First time caller long time listener
Hey I just got a 02 f150 5.4 2v. 4x4 crew cab. I'm happy with it so far. 2 weeks of owing it I already did a coil pack, wheel bearing and exsaust manifold. The truck does run and ride great though.
I'm still trying to pass nys inspection. I have just 2 montiors left. Catalast and evap. I drove 100 miles now I'm just gonna do a cold start. Any help would be appreciated.
My goal here is to learn to how tune this truck. I have a couple Audi's (b5 s4) and they much easier and funner to tune. Simple laptop and vcds cable. You were all set. Reading flashing logging the whole nine. Ford's are proving different. My truck is a turd when it comes to power. It feels like it races to OD and when it gets there it has no power to get to 60mph. I know a programmer would be a easy fix. But I want to start and finish a documented project of connecting a j2534 box and using free software (tuner pro) and maybe a hex editor to get my truck to likeing.
