This news is a few weeks old but I didn't see a thread on the topic. Flickr is moving towards a model similar to Photobucket. I think they learned from the Photobucket debacle and are going about implementing their change differently but will still feel a backlash.

Free account level will only allow 1,000 photos* instead of the previous 1TB limit.
Pro account level will allow unlimited photos & ad free browsing for $49.99/yr.

Flickr is offering a 30 percent discount off of the first year of Flickr Pro through November 30th.

*Free members with more than 1,000 photos or videos uploaded to Flickr have until Tuesday, January 8, 2019, to upgrade to Pro or download content over the limit. After January 8, 2019, members over the limit will no longer be able to upload new photos to Flickr. After February 5, 2019, free accounts that contain over 1,000 photos or videos will have content actively deleted -- starting from oldest to newest date uploaded -- to meet the new limit.

Lovely. Thanks for the heads-up maddog.
I wonder for most, just how many photos that difference encompasses? Seems like you can post a crap-ton of images of even larger sizes before hitting the 1TB limit. If you're a heavy user then, you could be in trouble. A casual user so far, maybe not such a traumatic experience as with photo-sucket.

Thanks again.

Paul.
