Finally, order submitted

Ford approved to buy back my F150 2 months ago due to a vibration issue they were unable to resolve. I will not bore you with the details why it took 2 months but finally everything came together and the order was authorized and submitted today.

2019 Super Duty F250 4x4 Crew Cab short bed
Lariat
Magnetic outside - black inside
6.2 gasser
4:30 E locker
Extended running boards
Nav
Skid plates
BLIS
Rear wheel liners
Upfitter switches
Extra heavy duty alternator
Garage door opener
Tailgate step
Lariat value package

If I take delivery by end of Jan I will be a happy camper. The best truck I ever owned was a 2002 Super Duty so hoping this one will be as good.

Looks like it will be a great truck. I have a question bout your ordering process...

I have two dealerships near me. I've visited both and told them I want to order a truck. All they want to do is find me one that matches most of what I want. I've explained to them I'm specific on my wants and needs. I have built the truck I want and submitted it to both places as well. The internet manager called me from both telling me they have some on the lot that are similar. I told them I've already seen them and want to order so how do we get started. No one ever gets back to me. What to do?

Your money, your truck. Order it your way and find a different dealer.
End of debate.

Should be a great truck. If you even plan on towing with a heavier tongue weight I'd see if you can add the 160 bucks option for the camper package which adds an overload leaf and a swaybar.

Well Done Sir.! Nice Build.
I would consider Rooftop Marker Lamps, Dual Batteries and Camper Pkg.

I hate those lights on the roof, lol. Doubt if I will tow more than our boat which weighs in under 5,000 pounds. Ordered the 4:30’s because I test drove a truck with 3:73’s and thought it was sluggish. 90% of my driving is under 60 mph.

I wish I’d seen this forum before buying mine. I was lied to and told I couldn’t order. Had to find one on the lot. The local place wanted to sell me an XL when I wanted a Lariat. I ended up getting one off the lot at another dealer because I thought that’s what I had to do. I got everything I wanted except interior color and interior carpet. It’s ok I guess but every time I get in I think about how much I paid for a truck that wasn’t exactly what I wanted. Don’t make the same mistake.

I didn't have a tailgate step on my list until enough people told me to get it. I always just hopped up in the truck. Anyways I said OK whatever and got the step. Let me tell you, it's the cats meow... I wouldn't want it any other way now.

Ford first wanted me to find a truck in stock within 1,000 mile range. Wanting a Lariat with 4:30 gears made that an almost impossible task as there were only two, both at a dealership in Florida. And both were loaded with stuff I didnt want like moon roof and optional wheels. I decided long ago to avoid any moonroof due to the issues so many owners were having with them. And if I am going to spend up to $1,500 on wheels I will stay with stock ones, buy what I want, then sells the stockers.
Except for the 4:30 gears I found the vast majority of in stock trucks had way to many options I had no interest in.

We all know these trucks are expensive. Stick to your guns and order one EXACTLY how you want it. Otherwise it will gnaw at you every time you drive it.

We looked around for amost a year with similar results..nada. Went on the ford website and built it it EXACTLY how we wanted. Went to the big name dealer in town and showed him the print out.....”um..ok..are you sure this is what you want?” “ we didn’t do all of this to not order it, what kind of price are you willing to do?” Wow...cam off a whole $1600 from the build price🙄..went home, faxed the sheet to 4 other dealers...5 minutes later another texted me a picture of my build sheet with a price $5780 lower. Long story short, went with them and still got jerked around on the Ford Financing crap. Going to send the payoff amount when we get the first payment notice....i hate dealers.....

Hadn't thought of faxing an order to multiple dealers but will do so. I get they want to push stock but we (forum gurus) don't just want to settle for crap we don't want or not get something we are set on having.

There is no need to wait for first payment notice. Just call Ford Credit with your VIN number and name and request a pay-off letter to be emailed to you. Print it out and send in your check with it today. The sooner they receive the layoff the Kees interest you pay.
