Question C4 fluid capacity

How much should I put in, before starting the truck? Convertor has maybe a quart in it yet, we drained as much out as we could before putting it in. Has a shallow pan, how much fluid to totally fill it?

I have no idea but I would put enough to show on the stick, then run it, put it in gear and stuff. then add it a little at a time to get it in between the hash marks with some driving as well (fluid hot)

I pour it in till I see it just above the full mark, don't worry it will drop once it is running.
I then start it looking for leaks and check it again.
I then fill it to the safe level, put it in gear both forward and reverse. I like to have the tires off the ground so the wheels spin and run it thru the forward gears.
I then check it again and top off before taking it for a spin.

Thanks for the info! With the wheels off the ground, just let the engine turn them, without touching the gas?

Yep you want the fluid to work thru out the trany.
Once you have the level safe you and before dropping it on th e wheels may want to run it tjru the gears giving it gas and check level again.
