Looking for Heads
Hey guys I have 61 292y truck ....and I'm looking for a good set of heads...Not sure what number I have on the block however, what is a good source for cylinder heads...
Or does anyone have a good set they want to sell?

Generally I'd say you want heads from 1955-1957. First choice might be ECZ-C. These years also have rockers with 1.54:1 ratio. Other years have 1.42:1. ECZ-B, and ECZ-C heads have 1.72 intake valves.
ECZ-G have bigger valves, 1.92, and smaller chambers but the compression might get too high.
For an intake, look for the ECG-B not the -A. The -B intake will take a Holley carb.

tHANK i APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND COMMENTS.... SOMEONE ON THE SITE HERE; HAS A SET THAT i LISTEN TO ON A RUNNING Y=BLOCK...
I have checked Mummerts site he has ton of used overhaul parts,,, I would guess they have to good if HE'S SELLING THEM.
Will check with him aswell.

Ray, I've got some spares. I would propose that you look locally to save on shipping but if you wanted something I have I could pick out a part of heads and have my machinist check them out for you.
