How do you get the settings to stick on Sync 3? I have a 2017 F-250 Lariat. I have it on Sirus XM and when turn it off and back on, it switches automatically to the first FM station in memory. I had a 2016 F-150 with the same Sync 3 set up and dont remember it doing that.
I have a 19 but have not had any of these issues to date. (knock on wood)
I'm wondering if they fixed it and if you can get a software update to take care of it. This issue seems pretty rampant with the 17's and 18's.
Anyone have a 19 that does it?
I was searching and found this thread. My 2017 F250 Lariat with SYNC3 is giving me issues. I can shut the truck off with a CD playing and when I start it back up it is on the last FMZ preset that I used. My truck has 35,56x.x miles, I will be a squeaky wheel with the dealership to address this. I also visually confirmed that my Truck has the Sony subwoofer...could of fooled me. more bass coming from my door speakers, it is like the sub is adding nothing.
Easiest way I've found is to put the key in, turn it on, wait 3-5 seconds, then start. If you have the pushbutton start, put your foot on the brake, wait the 3-5 seconds, then push start.
That is going to suck this winter, remote start is a must. Rather harass a dealership to fix it.
Your dealership mechanics most likely won't be able to do anything with it. It is an error that is coded in the Sync 3 program. Until Ford releases an update to the program, we're kinda screwed.
First world problems. It's only a couple of touches on the touch screen. Minor annoyance. We could go back to the 70's & before with ignition points that need to be adjusted & spark plugs that need to be changed every 5-10k miles, oh, and don't forget that great AM radio with one speaker & all the static you can stand.
I was just rip it out if it wasn't for losing the heated steering wheel. This is my first Ford, kind of expected better with the advancements that OEM radios offer now. I wonder if the others have their issues. I guess my gripes would be less if I didn't buy it off a dealer lot.
They all have their issues. Any time quantity increases, quality decreases, not to mention the fact that no one takes pride in their workmanship anymore. We have a GMC at work that's uncomfortable as hell, the plastic panel on the back of the driver's seat is broken & falls off onto the rear floor, also, the running boards are coming loose.
If you search on here there are ways to revert back to v2.2, which didn't have the problem of switching back to last radio preset. Mine doesn't do it all the time. I haven't noticed a pattern of when it does and doesn't...I just hit the source button and go back to Sirius. If you take it to the dealer they'll relive you of $85 and tell you "it's within spec".
