Yes, at $450 I wouldn't even follow this thread...But at $250 I had to pick one up! I do wonder if my aux camera on the back of the camper with be in the loop somewhere. That would be worth the $250 for me.
NavTV's on-line tech support / LIVE CHAT has been very responsive & knowledgeable, I bet they can answer your question about the aux camper camera
Anyone add the factory AUX camera from FORD and add to the trailer??? If this system works with the factory AUX and I can see behind the back of my camper while driving down the road that would be a game changer. At 250 I'm in either way but I don't want to drop another 750 to 1k on the ford camera and not have it work...
perhaps you missed the part where I said the Naviks solution CAPITALIZES the infotainment screen.....perhaps I should have said the system KIDNAPS or HOLDS HOSTAGE the infotainment display.
I prefer a system that used SPLIT screen (I dont use the navmap),
I find holding a button for 7 seconds ridiculous and a non-starter.
It makes better sense to use the OEM camera button to enable the system and REDUCE the time to enable.
Perhaps you should have. The very idea of split screen is ridiculous to me. I find you use of bold and caps a non starter. The rear camera is activated by a double tap of the rear defrost button for those that don't care for the 7 second hold.
Finally got out to drive around a bit with the Navik unit.... My whole screen is now slower in response, my GPS gets completely confused and gets lost and spins around on the screen now and the cameras are a bit laggy.... All and all im really not thrilled.
Yea. Im gunna give this another day or two and if it keeps bugging out its going back. No point in gaining mediocre camera feed but giving up all other functionality.

that additional camera is very helpful, but I think having the ability to use it while driving down the freeway would be way better. Helps when backing into a spot, but I would love to see what is behind me while traveling
I found this aux camera setup that I'm going to give a try. Its oem p&p and works with the factory 360. I'll be chatting with the Navtv reps about the aux camera.
This is the response I received from Navtv about AUX cameras.
"Yes, with the COD-F5 you will be able to force ANY of the cameras you have available at any time, regardless of gear or speed."
For me, that would really make the sale price a great deal! I'll have to wait till spring to mess with it as the camper is in storage. Wait, maybe I need a camera on the back of the snowmobile trailer...more money, it never ends!
Got mine today. Install took....15 minutes, maybe, and that was while talking on the phone with my wife. Everything seems to operate as described. All cameras are accessible while driving and AUX shows available as a selection.

no interface slow downs or other obvious issues like the Navik?

Just a drive around the block and no. I had to do two double taps of the camera button to get it to switch from rear to front, which was maybe weird. Otherwise, it functions just like OEM. Press the button and the camera pops up. Select the camera view you want on screen, etc. Side view camera comes on with turn signal and is displayed on entire screen, shuts off after signal is deactivated (this can be disabled.) Seems to do as it claims.
