Supercharged Expedition Help

Hey guys,

Yup, I'm new here and I already need help

Here's the problem.

I bought a Powerdyne SC from a shop online brand new.

Had a local shop install it on my 2k Expedition with the 4.6L .

Install went fine and soon I was on the road. I now have a light vibration coming from the break & gas pedal. I could live with that.. Bigger issue is the motor stalls during stops. Like it is either short on gas or air.

I have an appointmet this Saturday for the mechanic to go through it again but I thought a few extra ideas from you people to discuss with him would be beneficial.

And yes, under full throttle it MOVES.

Thanks for any help.

sounds like a vacume leak in the assembly somewhere. what was the cost and did you get any better mileage or worse mpg? how much more power do you feel?

I ordered it online thinking me and my father inlaw could do it in a weekend... Wasen't the case... ANYWAY.

Purchased for 2400 I believe with a 100 dollar mail in rebate.
Installed in town for 380 bucks ( this suprised me ).

Seat of the pants feel?.. Ehhh... 50 maybe? See, this is my wifes rig and I usually only drive it on the weekends when we all went places. Did all this for towing actually, tows the pop up.
I will say it is deffinetly more busy under the hood, real mean if you will. Can't wait to do the exhaust.
Surge comes on about 2500 RPM +- and carries up to redline with the motor sounding like its about to crawl outta hood, no joke.
This is the 3rd day we have had it installed and I have not done the gas mileage yet, but I can tell you these 3 days have been in the crapper .

Additions I feel are going to be happening soon are deffinetly a high flow exhaust with a high flow cat. A boost guage and relief valve for the blower and maybe shorty headers if I can find a good deal.

Really sucks this is on my wifes rig and not my own.. Guess this is an investment in my next truck. " You remember last year when we did all that stuff to your truck honey.. " .

I happen to think it's a vacuum leak as well.

let me know how it tows with this instal, personally I like my RPMS under 2500 while in tow unless going up a steep incline. Is your lowend effected at all? I tow a 28' boat and get about 6mpg avg on a 180 mile haul. That equals about a tank of gas. I am thinking of just going to diesel. My wife actually wants to trade her Rodeo in for a 3/4 ton dodge. Go figure on that one. The expy tows like crazy though, I wouldnt know I had a 6000 lb boat hooked up if it wasnt for the mpg problem and the lack of rear view mirror.
