WHAT? If you really have alarm or camera system questions send me a make and model and I can tell you-- I install them for a living :-) Would love to help out.
What I like is newr digital IP cameras-- Some of them are really nice to see things both near and far--- I watch a mouse across the street at the neighbors trash bin once (Neighbor is a church) and its about 60 yards away.

Looks pretty decent! What I install for banks and schools-- Some are very very high quality-- some are good to identify a person and that's about it. I saw a tag number from almost 2 blocks away once-- and they caught the robber. I have had to install in strip clubs- bars and a few places that having my truck outside looks a little weird-- My guys in COlorado install in Pot shops too
What I was wondering could a better camera be installed on my system , you have any recommendations? Or is this DVR only good as it gets?
"beeter cameras" OH boy let me tell you there are allot of cameras out there-- it all depends on the money you are willing to spend for the camera that is the question. Let me look around and see what other cameras may be compatible at a resonable price that might be better.
There are some analog cameras out there that have 300ft range- and color night vision for around 380 bucks each--- There are allot of different cameras. The issue you might run into in a higher priced camera is the zoom feature may not be compatible with your dvr.

Guess What? I haven't been here in awhile. I'd like one camera in particular to have a little better ranch and able to zoom in if it would actually work with low end system I have. Having trouble with the DVR right now and have to send it in on warranty, seems the mouse don't always want to work even though there is power going to it..
