OK so I figured out how not to break those tabs. There are two chrome tabs that hold in the ends of that lower grill you can access them once you have the upper Cowell cover removed with a thin screwdriver or thin rod you have to push down on each tab in order not to break them in the first picture you’ll see two Flat tabs towards the center of the grill on each end push down on the tab that’s below the top one to release that tab the other one you have to reach carefully right behind the side of the light in the grill you can just make it out and then you can release that flat These are the two tabs that you must press down on to release behind the grill. This is the Innermost tab or you have to release the tab below the flat clip. You will notice it looks like there’s a tab above but it’s black you need to re-release tab that’s chrome it’s below the black tab. This is the most difficult tab this picture is taken on the driver side just to the left of of the headlight you’ll notice the green plastic in the picture far below that is the last chrome tab that needs to be pressed in order to release the chrome trim without breaking the tabs.

BrianRich I think that you are in the wrong forum. There's no way that grill in your post is for a 1968 F-100. None of us are perfect, but I have worked with some people who thought that they were.
