low idler

i have a 1995 f-150 4x4 with a 5.0l powerplant in it.
my problem is when i start it it don't want to idle or idle's at a very low 200 rpm what is my problem? are they a sensor that is in the intake that has gone bad or what ?????

I would remove and clean the idle air motor. If cleaning it doesn't work, replace it , they don't last forever. I would also clean the throttle body while I was in there. How many miles are on the truck?

1995 f-150 x-cab 4x4. 5.0 with gt40p heads,crane compucam 2030 with matching springs and roller rockers. K&N filter, power pullies,Mac equal length shorty's,Flowmaster 3" in 2, 2 1/2" out with rear cat removed. 4.56 geared with 36" super swampers. 6" sups, 3" body lift.

What is a good product to clean the TB? I don't want to harm the inside finish.

thanks a lot i took it off cleaned it but it still didn't work so i went to the ford dealer a bought a new one AND IT WORKS NOW it idles smoother now than it did when i bought the truck about 3 yrs. ago thank you YOU ARE A LIFESAVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
