So I just got my 2019 and after the door time out, any time you open or close the driver's door, there is an obvious clicking sound from the engine compartment. My 2017 didn't do this. Thoughts?
I first noticed this on the 2014 model after touching the break petal and getting out of the vehicle while turned off with no key(
I figured fuel pump, figured being key). If that sound worries you wait till your truck is running and your standing in front of it. Absolutely the worst clicking sound standing in front of my 17 6.2 at idle. sounds like the fan is hitting a hose clamp almost. gl

I have that same noise on my '17 6.2. Dealer says it's nothing out of the ordinary. No problem guys! They do all the maintenance and it's under warranty until 75K when I trade it, so if it grenades it's on them! I am curious what the noise is, but not to a point that I'm concerned.
I was wondering the same. My new truck has the Upfitter switches, Sync 3 with Ultimate Camera and the Advance Security Pkg which my old didn't. The sound is strictly related to just opening the driver's door after the vehicle has not been touched for maybe 5 minutes or so. Doors are unlocked. No pressing of the fob. Just walk up and open the driver door. Its a relay clicking sound.
Nope. Truck is not running. Just walk up and open driver's door after it has been sitting for several minutes. Relay clicking type sound from engine compartment.

Pretty much the same for me. I just went out and touched the driver's door handle to unlock the truck via Intelligent Access. When I opened the door, the usual three or four clicks (click - clacks?) emanated from the engine compartment. Haven't started the engine or driven the truck for over 12 hours.

That's exactly what I'm experiencing. Thanks for the confirmation. But what the heck is it????
Throw a rivet in it and get some touch up paint from the dealer , my drivers door does the same thing in that area by the hinge , probably didn’t get enough adhesive between the panels at the factory . Aluminum is very tricky.
