New Guy From Colorado
I've driven Ford pickups all of my life. I had a construction company and snow plowing business in the 80's and owned several at a time.
I am recently back in the Ford truck fold as I needed a trailer puller for my tandem axle dump trailer. I purchased a 1989 Ford F250 extended cab with the 7.5 (460cid) gas engine. It's showing 183k miles on the clock, but the body is solid with no rust.
It is having some issues, as it was owned by a DIY guy who did some strange repairs, or just neglected problems altogether. I am pretty handy with a wench, and I have a nice shop and set of tools. I'm also at the stage in life where I have the time to screw with these types of projects.
I found Ford Truck Forums when Googleing some electrical and fuel issues. I've already gotten some good leads and information from some of the threads. I look forward to helping out when I can and using the members as a resource when I get lost.
I remember when the 1988-89 body style came out and most of the Ford guys had strong opinions about the front end styling. It was then when I coined the term, Studebaker Grill. Now, 30 years later it'll be my username.
Thanks for letting an old guy join you!
