My 2000 F250 had the ESOF. In under 80,000 miles the solenoid failed twice, leaving me stuck once, and the vacuum leaked. The vacuum leak not only caused an issue with the ESOF but had the A/C randomly flipping back and forth from the vents to the defrost. When I special ordered my '17 I ordered it with a lever and manual hubs. Some may never experience an ESOF failure but for those that do you won't want it again.
