20’s with 3.73 in the 6.2

Thinking of replacing my 275/70r18 with 275/65r20 . Has anyone done this ? Will I regret it ?

i run 35x12.5x20 and no issues. You will need to adjust the speedo for the tire size otherwise it reads a slower speed (mine is about 4mph faster then indicated on the speedo)

20s will ride rougher than the 18s most likely.

They come factory with 20's and 3.73s. So no, you won't regret it. I am running 37 x 13.50s with 20s and 3.73s. LoL. You will be fine.

Here is a neat tire size comparison tool

Where do you live and what do you do with your truck? I hated the 20's when I tried them. It was a noticeable power loss here in CO at altitude. I have the 4.30's and my stock size was 275/65r18 so a bit smaller than yours.

The stock size is 275/65/18 I believe. The 20" option effectively puts your ratio at 3.51 if you have the 3.73's. You would pretty much need a 3.96 ratio to have the same stock performance. Just something to think about.

Made the swap from 17 inch wheels to the 20s with no problem. Speedo is off (reads slow) so be warned or you may get a ticket or three... I have not made the update for tire size with FORSCAN yet. The truck sits about 3 inches higher than on the 17"s

If you want your gas mileage and performance to go down, get the 20's . . . . .

Well all I can say is the wife likes the new look (as do I) so it's worth a few dollars spent at the pump...
Wonder how much is lost? Not gonna change them back but...

I’m in relatively flat country , and don’t have to deal with high altitude. However I do tow heavy at times , and am somewhat concerned about any loss of power the 20’s might give up!
