I too test drove both the 6.7 and 6.2 trucks both short beds, cant remember whether snow plow prep was a option on either one, and noticed a difference, the 6.7 rode better but believe it was from the weight of the engine. I went with the 6.2 and it has the plow pkg on it. This truck rides so much better than my 07 F150, that thing rode like a lumber wagon and it was a crewcab with a long bed. Hopefully in 5 years I can still say that it rides nice...

Might be apples to watermelons, but my plow prep 2018 6.2 CCSB SRW F-350 rides way better then the company’s 2 (one XLT and one lariat) 2015 6.7 CCLB SRW F-350’s with plow prep. The difference isn’t in the front though. It’s the constant bouncing that the rear does in the longbed. The 2015’s feel like your driving over a cheese grater all the time till you put 500 # or so in the bed

My loaded Lariat 4x4 long bed weighs over 8,600 lbs so 18.8 mpg impressed me. Up the grades it never once downshifted also pretty cool. Now that said during a diesel regen my mpg drops to 12.

I can't believe how many sisters on here are worried about the ride. These trucks are light years ahead of trucks from 25 or 30 years ago ride wise, trucks are made to work and haul loads and if you drive a 1 ton around empty for a commuter yes it's going to be little stiff. I just can't see the early settlers that built this country or maybe the WWII generation saying "OWE MY BOTTOM HURTS!" Do you guys sit in a office all day or something?

I'll take a different angle. We've been getting way over our normal rainfall around here. every time I take a load of feed out across the pasture I'm really glad to have that lighter weight 6.2 out front.

After your hip self destructs and spinal stenosis gets hold of your spinal cord you will understand.

For the same cost at the pump, I can drive 61.5 miles farther (based on a 30gal tank) in my 6.2L getting 15mpg.

$2.15 for gas vs $2.99 for diesel in my area.

My 48 gallon tank and I will wave as you exit the freeway to fill up your gas hog.

I believe this was the original "different question" lol. I have the 6.2 with the snow plow package and it rides pretty darn good to me for a 250, better then my old Chevy 2500. On a really bad road you are still going to know you have HD springs and tires with 60+ lbs of air under your butt. But it's not bad, and a really good ride on most roads.

That's fine! After a tank of gas, I'm more than happy to pull off to stretch my legs! I wanted the 48gal tank...but a CCLB is just too much for me and what I use my truck for. My SCLB is the same length as my buddies 2013 Ram CCLB

Using the same numbers as above, the diesel will run 902 miles on 48gal. Gasser will go 720mi.
Diesel will cost $40.32 more than gas to fill up. $40.32 in gas will get me another 281miles, for a total of 1,001mi on the same amount of cash.

Just a fun fact

Our Diesel is $3.30 and regular gas $3.10, I'll go 902 miles and for the same cost you will only go 765 miles.

25 or 30 years ago trucks didn't have a $70k MSRP. Even counting for inflation, today's trucks are well over twice as much as a truck from 1990. $70k in 2018 is equally to $37k in 1990 but the original MSRP for a 1990 F250 was just under $15k. With that kind of price increase of course people are going to expect the product to perform better.
