Chrome Plating
I am about to run out of questions now, until I start putting my truck back together. I have every bolt out of it now.
Thanks,
Backroads Jack
They don't do chrome plating now in a lot of places. It's a very non-enviromentally friendly business. You might just want to consider new chromed or SS bumpers. From what I've seen, by the time you ship them to where ever and have them done, it will cost more than just buying reproduction bumpers. I've been looking around for some nice used ones for my daily driver low budget F-3, but no luck. The grille is another story...
. Thats why I am looking for a good chroming place. I have been through more than 200 wrecking yard in a 6 state area and have called more than 500 wrecking yards in the US with little to no luck. However, I did find one wrecking yard that had everything I needed for $1,000.00 plus shipping. I didn't pay that much for the truck. That is highway robbery
Thanks,

What sort of price are they quoting to replate your 58? The plater in town here quoted around $300 to replate my '59's grill. But then I stumbled upon a really nice used grill out of a grain truck in Nebraska for $150 and jumped on it.
Adios,
Brett
