Evening all.

Between work and taking Mom to see Dad every evening has left me with barely enough time to sleep much less do anything else. I'll be in Springfield taking my sister to have a procedure done tomorrow and then I'm off (sort of) until Tuesday.

Duplicate keys

Just got my "new" truck home. I have a key (square) for the ign. It wont fit the doors. I guess I need the round key? Course they may not be original doors. Whats the best way to go? Try fomoco? Talk too a locksmith?

73-79 a lock smith should be able to cut door lock on one side and ing on the other side of the same square key. On my 77 and 79 one key fits both door and ing.

Door key

You ever buy a truck that didnt have a key for the door? Do you just go to a locksmith? I dont really mind having two keys, I would just like to be able to lock the truck up. Lol If I was to lock it now, I wouldnt be able to get back in, myself!

One suggestion I received was to go to JY and get a lock with key and replace the old door lock. That would work, but seems a little extreme

X2 on cheaper to just hit a JY and get a matching ing switch and door locks. 73-79 come out and go back in easy enough. 80 ish is probably as easy? Most of the 73-79 in my local JY have the key still in the ing and 9 outa 10 times match the door locks.

Waiting on my ticket reservations....

Morning folk. Made it back from Oregon. It was a late night getting home. I got to bed about 1am and Gwen's alarm went off at 6.
I'm not one to be able to go back to sleep. I might have to drive my father in law to Chillicothe today. I could stay up there and hunt in the morning, but since my youngest is in a boot and crutches, she can't hunt.
I really need to be home to keep an eye on Telecheck anyway.

Rich, take care of yourself over there.
