Hello all ,I purchased a 2019 f350 limited 4x4 lb .Traded my 17 lariat gave it up before my truck was in and dealer compensated me for it.
anyway I used a 3k pco and xplan from a member on the forum.Dealer calls today and he is just processing the pin now and its not working expired whatever and He wants a new pin or $1200.
Can anyone help me with a xplan pin? Thanks
I got an X-Plan PIN as a shareholder. It is specific to my name as listed on my brokerage account, social insurance number etc. Pretty sure the truck has to be ordered in the name of the PIN holder. You might need to find a PIN in your name by owning 100 shares for 6 months, join EAA etc to get a PIN. My PIN is valid for 12 months,

To my knowledge the only way you can use XPlan is if the person that gave it to you is a member of your household. If they are a member of your household, you will have to prove it with a valid drivers Lic etc.
If you know a Ford employee or former employee they have a Friends and Family plan that can be shared at times, and it's better than XPlan.

An Xplan pin alone will do you no good as you must be employed by a xplan member company. They WILL ask for proof of employment when you do the paperwork as they must submit that proof to Ford. I think you may have screwed yourself because when I was getting 3 offers before ordering my truck only one dealer knew I was xplan. All three offers were within $100 of each other and that included the xplan offer. Hopefully you won't have to pay $1,200 more without xplan. Good luck.
Edit: I guess there are a few ways to get an xplan but you need to qualify by yourself
Wrong on the info about member of a household.
I have bought 3 trucks with X Plan pin.
I got them all from an retired Ford employee from another website.
I send him my info, name, address, social etc and then I got an email with a PIN number.
Took that pin number and info from Ford to my purchasing dealer and that is all there is to it.
PINs are good for 1 year from time of getting them.

OK. That is sure different than the 2 or three time I have used xplan. I have always been required to show proof I qualify in addition to pin.
Sorry......I must have misread the XPlan details. I have purchased multiple trucks through XPlan as well and have also used the Friends and Family through a former Ford employee as I noted in my reply.
I have used x plan twice in the past and it was friends and family .I gave a forum member all my info and he generated a pin
I guess that is why I found xplan to be basically worthless since anybody can get a pin. I still don't understand why dealer is trying to gouge you for another $1,200 when I found anyone can walk through the door and get same deal without a stinking pin!

correct on that.. Ford employees can give out a couple a year to anyone they choose but that is only from ford employees or retirees.
otherwise you MUST provide proof of employment for the pin.

because Ford pays the dealer a spiff for selling an xplan. That is how they make the money you dont pay for doc fees etc. If the pin is invalid, the dealer loses out on close to $1,000
