Okay Friends,
I pulled the distributor and 1st thing I noticed is that it was stuck like heck. It would not spin freely... and it looked like it had been through a lot - like me! LOL
So, instead of pouring more money into parts for it I just ordered a new one - especially since while trying to remove the pins on the shaft it looked weak as I tried my
darnedest to remove the pins... Enough, time for a new dizzy!
This is the item number 382588562530 of the previous AND new dizzy on ebay - am I getting what I'm paying for? Hit me.

On another note, just got some confirming news that my CEAs (a.k.a. Tumor Markers) have sky rocketed. I was doing so well, then suddenly - as things usually happen, my CEAs went from 11 (normal for me is between 0 and 5) to 197 almost overnight!
Honestly, at this point I pour lots of energy into my truck because it keeps me and things sane around here but the energy is running out fast. Must keep it for Sebastian & Natalia.
Reminds me of when all this started and all I kept reading here was "use your truck as Rx to get better" but I think that too may be insufficient today...
Not on a downer, just being realistic. And while I realize some of you may think I'm too much drama, my wife thinks I am, please up your anti on the prayers for me. I really could use them...
Sincerely,
Paul
PS. As soon as I manage to drop the new dizzy in, I will update. Meantime...
Hi Paul, not much input into the truck problem. Hopefully your on the right path with the new distributor. As a stage 4 cancer survivor myself I know oh too well the feelings you have and how the bad days can be really bad and at times it is like one step forward two back. Sucks I know. My prayers are that this is just a minor setback in your journey to beating this crappy disease. Stay positive and keep fighting I'll be thinking and praying for ya! Cheers!

Hi Greg,
Thank you so much for your understanding, one really should NEVER walk in these shoes, one doesn't really want to know what it's all about.
Me too on the stage 4 Colon Cancer, metastasized to anywhere you can think of... was good for about 5 years but then BOOM! Seems to be returning again, just don 't know where just yet - awaiting PET scan results soon to come.
Staying strong as much as possible
Paul
Hi Paul, it is with a heavy heart that I read of your cancer's return,You know I will be adding my prayers as well. You have been thru so much already it just sucks, but I know the power of prayer, and believe in it's healing. As far as your truck, it sounds as if your on the right track with the new HEI, as you probably already know, it has to be in the correct position for the timing. Did you mark where the rotor was facing b4 pulling the old one, if so and the gear wasn't chewed up or the motor turned with it out, you may be able to drop in the new one pointing the rotor to where the old one was and be good. Otherwise you may have to find top dead center on a piston etc., etc. ,If so you know FTE'rs will walk you thru that part. Blessings and prayers your friend jimmy. PS you probably remember I'm not the greatest mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.
