Gonna add a winch but have it removable with an Anderson connector. Looking at the batteries they don’t provide a good way of hooking anything up. I’ve seen a few already have a winch how did you go about adding the cable? Also I love this truck. First new truck I’ve had.
Might be easier to go with a different battery that provides better terminal connection options, and the ability to be drawn down more than the starter type units the truck came with.
Warn has a nice kit for running power from the battery to the winch, using a quick disconnect as well as a relay in the circuit. I haven't looked at the terminals with the thought to add a 0 or 1 gauge connector to the terminal. On my half ton truck I just added a longer bolt to the clamp and called it good.
There are ring terminals on the battery for a positive connection. Always connect the negative to the block ground, they should be apart from each other and the ground at the block is the best option. The next best is the frame ground, never connect both to the battery. A fuseable link is more practical than a “relay” for heavy service like 0 or 1 gauge wire.
when I added a sub to the truck I switched out the factory battery connectors for something more substantial. That allows for adding additional cables.
I use this style on our service trucks. They are available online and local at the battery supplier. The ones I buy local I believe are made by Norco and say USA and run about 60.00 a pair but are solid and nice.

I've been looking for something just like that for the batteries on my trailer. If you get a chance, can you get a product number? I tried searching on Norco but all that comes up is Noco and they don't have it.

The Warn kits doesn't have a relay, it has a RELAY. It will allow you to turn on power for the winch (not control the winch, just send power to it) through a Upfitter switch.

I hate that we have to change it around. I dislike the new fancy connectors manufactures are putting on cars and truck these days. Also the only one that understood what i was asking. I know how to hook them up just wasn't sure what guys were doing on these new trucks.
I have 2/0 battery cables that go to an industrial battery connector (Anderson type).
Negative is on the engine block near the starter, positive is on the starter, running to a 300 amp fuse.
