When setting on a level spot I've noticed that the rear of the truck sits lower than the front...leaf springs go weak on these.?? .have factory lift kit if that makes a difference..was thinking overload shocks...thanks in advance...

Has it ever been seriously Over Loaded???

Shocks aren't supposed to provide Lift, just dampen movement. Consider having a known good/trusted suspension shop have a look & quote what needs to be done to make its ride height right & safe.

Sounds like your springs are worn out. If you go with new replacement ones it should bring that rear up back to factory. If you go with a heavier duty set it will firm up the ride a little and also give you some additional height over factory.

Pretty normal for springs to get tired and fatigued.

Ok, was the frame ok, did they find any signs its been seriously overloaded in the past? Being in cold country with salted winter roads, if its been driven much in the winter that danged salt sure can take its toll!!!

OK, good feedback & to hear it sounds like its frame is ok & the suspension can be resurrected, let us know how it goes. Having been a Farm truck, no telling what & how much it had been tasked with hauling before you came by it.

From all the issues I've dealt with..mechanical and electrical..I would say that if the key fit and it started it.was good enough...I've got a 04 Explorer motor in it with around 50k on it..truck is showing 118k...the abs is messed up...door ajar light comes on and off when hitting bumps in the road..have read many posts on these problems... and slowly sorting them out...when I get done..should have a good reliable truck..
