I've had some very puckered up near misses. We have a ton of hogs too...dark and hard to see.

Yes,glad the hood went up also. 70mph and I didnt see anything,so I didn't even hit the brakes till after the hit. I was surprised that I didn't really even feel anything just a loud thud, truck didn't even miss a beat and was still running till I shut it off 10minutes later.

Pretty amazing that the engine was still running after being forced backwards!

Yes, it was surprising.
Until I got finally got out and looked at the damage. It took me awhile to get me head rebooted and figure out what just happened.

Figures a Marine would post a pic of the heart and where he found it. Glad you came out on the winning end of things. Semper Fi.

A strategically placed freezer paper dispenser in the bed, and you could have qualified for the all-time world record speed deer processing record.

It's amazing the difference a few inches and mph make. A few years back I hit a deer with my 2000. I was doing 50 mph and it jumped out of some bushes and right in front of me. It hit flush on the bumper and didn't even leave a scratch. Hate that it did as much damage to yours as it did.

The original pic doesn't look like the same truck unless you did a lot of upgrades. That makes it more sad..

I'm going to shop for a new one but haven't had a payment for 10 years so its going to be hard to except that.
