rear brakes
i just got them fixed at the dealership. wat causes the rear brakes to stick like that so i can prevent it from happening again?

1. Brake shop adjusted star adjuster wheel too tight. Not very likely. The shoes have to be toward the hub to get drums back on. Then you adjust star adjuster from hole in from behind the hub to move shoes closer towards drum. Hole is plugged with oval rubber plug. Not very likely
2. Emergency brake lines, which are called brake sticks, are corroded and do not release all the way when the handle is all the way down. Likely
3. Mechanic mixed up right wheel and left wheel shoe pairs. They may have put two rights on one side and two lefts on other side. Or they could have installed the correct pair on one wheel with the shoes in the wrong position, i.e. front shoe on rear position and rear shoe in front position. You can install them this way and rear brakes make it feel you are towing a very heavy trailer. The steel l part of shoes are identical but the braking layer is longer on one of the shoes for each wheel. I don't remember, but I think the longer portion goes towards rear of vehicle. Most likely
