Window Sticker Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a copy of the original window sticker for a particular vehicle? We purchased our Expy used and would love to have the sticker! Can a dealer order a copy when provided w/the VIN#. Or perhaps through a source online? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

In the back of your owners manual there will be an 800 number for ford, you will have to go through all the normal telephone promps but will get to a service rep. If you give the rep your vin. # they will be able to send you a copy of toyr window sticker. It will not look like the ones you see at the dealers but it will have all the info that is on the truck.

From: Hotter than Hell Dallas,
Dealers make the stickers, what you get from Ford for free is the History(999) or called CAC now

To get your free report you need to call or write Ford and supply them with your VIN, name and mailing address. Mention that you are interested in their "VIN report" provided by their "Customer Assistance Center" or "Technical Research Center." Calling is best, but don't expect the operator will know what you're looking for. You have to be persistant. The reports usually take 4-8 weeks to arrive.

The following is a reply email from Ford concerning a similar situation:

Thank you for your message of 09/26/03 regarding your 1999 Ford
Expedition. We appreciate the time you have taken to write us inquiring
about a list of all the options and packages that came with your vehicle
from the factory.

Congratulations on the purchase of your Expedition. We are confident
that you will enjoy the spacious interior in addition to the many
features that your vehicle has to offer. We are pleased to welcome you
to the Ford family.

Unfortunately, due to the Vehicle Order Coding Index (VOCI) decoding
process required to determine particular components, it is not possible
for us to provide a complete list of options and specifications for your
Expedition. However, if there are specific options or if there is
specific information you are seeking to confirm, we may be able to
assist you further. If this is the case, please re-contact us with your
request and we will attempt to determine this information for you on a
case-by-case basis.

We look forward to your reply. It is always a pleasure to assist a
valued customer like yourself. We appreciate your loyalty and
dedication. Thank you for choosing Ford!

At Ford Motor Company, we consider the satisfaction of our customers as
one of our most important objectives. If you have any other inquiries
or concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to
address them.

Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company.

Sincerely,
Corrina

That reply is... misguided? stupid? wrong? don't feel like using the thesaurus right now so I'll leave it at that.

Dealers are able to acquire these re-printed stickers when the sell used cars. There is a way, darn it.

Likely translation of Ford Customer Service reply from Corrina,
" Ha,we're still laughing our butts off here at your naivity in requesting any real help from us,we've already got your money so we don't give a hoot about you except maybe to send you a brochure to sell you a new Ford,if you need any more help by all means write to us again as we can always use a good laugh."
