I've had leaks, flat tires but nothing has ever left me in need of assistance/tow or road side repair.

HPOP leak on my 7.3. Lost so much oil the injectors wouldn’t inject.

Water pump, on the way home from buying it in 2014.

Does sitting in the driveway for 3 weeks with electrical problems count?

The fuel pump left us stranded for the very first time at 243,000 miles. We had just loaded up last year's Christmas trees when it would not start. We were quite a ways from home so I had it towed to my sister-in-law's house and changed the pump in her driveway. Of course, it was almost full! Siphoning off the excess gas was almost as much work as pulling the tank out.

Lou Manglass

P.S. It's not like I don't know better. You are "rolling the dice" at anything past 175,000 miles.

My IPR quit on me three weeks after buying it privately in my parents' driveway. Had to get it towed to the local dealer and have it replaced by them as I had no idea on how the 6.0 PSD operated. $775.00 later and all was good.
HPOP at 220 000 miles when my son took it to a friends' house. Had to get towed home to my shop.
Had a front spring crack on my way to the cottage which didn't leave me stranded but I had to carefully drive it for an hour to the closest big city and wait for a replacement spring set(Vs) to come in and have them replace them.
I am expecting one of the injectors to l fail one of these days as I now have 255000 miles.

CPS. I think it was about a year after I bought it. I knew what it was when it happened but this was back when carrying a spare CPS was just getting popular, and I hadn't bought a spare yet at that time. I have spares now tho! LOL

Water pump also, not too long after the CPS, IIRC. Wife got to work and she said there was a shower of coolant under the truck when she stopped.

Alternator, in Covington, LA. I was on my way home from a trip to H-Town, TX visiting @Krazee Matt . I had it done in 20 minutes (including purchasing the alternator) outside an AutoZone.

Stranded ? Never. I have however replaced a few things on the side of the road, Including a transmission, a fuel line and a HPOP . Good times.
