Smog Equipment

I just finished up swapping out my 302 and 5 speed mazda tranny for another 302 and a C6 I built in my 1991 F150 4x4 XLT. I built the motor with a set of 1965 289 heads I redid. The problem or question I have is about the smog equipment. I removed the pump and the hoses coming from the exhaust with out a problem except for the two vacuum lines I have that went to the smog stuff behind the heads for the thermotrac system.

What do I do with them? Plug them or them let be?

I need some advise.

Thanks for your help.

Definately plug them. I believe that these are actually air pipes that run from the air pump and into the back of the head. Ford has the screw plug inserts and they are a weird size thread. You can also use the crossover pipe from head to head where that y'd into a valve and replace the valve with a threaded cap that you can get in the plumbing section of any hardware store.

The reason for getting rid of the smog equipment is that with my 1965 heads there is not thremotrac ports to screw the Y pipe into. The lines I am talking about are the ones that go to the bypass/diverter air control valve from the TAB TAD switch. These are vacuum lines that just plug in. Now I don't have anything to plug them into so what do I do with them?
