I have a 2016 F350 6.7 that has been plain awesome..no bugs or issues at all bumper to bumper. Now has 108000 on the clock and I was thinking of moving on to a 2019 F350 6.7 .. Has there been many issues with the newer Super Duty line ? I'm attracted to the Aluminum body being I live in a very long snow belt salted road season in Northern NH. Also I go out of state alot and during the early am and hauling campers so I worry now about future breakdowns and towing scenarios. And while my truck is still worth something for trade in.
I picked up my 2019 during the last week of August and have since driven it about 4k miles. Miles have included city, rural, & interstate; minimal use of 4WD in my backyard moving my camper; and about 500 miles of towing the aforementioned 12k lbs. gooseneck. Thus far, the only issue I have had is that the driver side Powerstroke badge had to be replaced because the original was falling-off. We are preparing for 5k mile / 20 day road trip with the camper here in the near future and can provide you with some additional feedback when we return.
Some observations from my 2018 F-350 Lariat CCLB 6.7 176” 4x4 (4K miles) Msrp $72k same as 2019 except for the B&O stereo .
1-Door issues ( alignment/rattling/creaking noises ) Drivers door !
2-Electrical ( cab high bed camera pixilation & intermittent blacked out screen issues for touchscreen ) 6 Repair attempts ( Ford Buyback Offered ) Probably take the cash back and let Ford workout the bugs , then buy a 2020 .
3-Bed to cab alignment issues ( 5th wheel prep package factory) bed off a 1/2”+ from one side to the other in relation to cab
4-Body fit and finish issues ( hood/fender lines way off , body panels rubbing together near windshield )
5-6.7 Diesel typewriter noise issues ( noticed after first oil change to Rottella T6 5w40)
6-Major sunroof buffeting noise issues while open driving @55+ in windy conditions
7-Sub par leather ( light to moderate wrinkles on seating surfaces in a short period of time )
8-Sub par Sony Stereo ( My 2012 Raptor & GT500 have the Sony system and sound much better)

I thought the driver’s side badge falling off was random on my 2017. I guess I’ll have the dealership do that too when they fix my pano sunroof shade.

Wow..Too early to tell on the mechanical components I guess.. I haven't read much here on 2017 up..and how the new model is doing.. I will now. Seems the suspension and engine are the same as my 2016.
I'm at 2500miles on the 2019 CCSB 250 with 6.2. I just had to crawl under it and cut the heat insulation off from under the cab. it had fell onto the exhaust pipe and melted. My first problem.

To be absolutely forthright, I have been dealing with the same personnel and the same dealership for nearly 20 years and I am friends with those folks that address these issues at that level.
1. No issues
2. My tailgate and bed cameras work fine.
3. Read about this issue on this forum. Checked upon p/u. - no issues.
4. No issues
5. No issues - will change oil for the first time at our half-way point on our upcoming long haul trip.
6. No sunroof - no issues (why do you need/want a sunroof in a truck )
7. No issues, but then again I have been riding on cloth since '99, I probably am not the best person to judge.
8. Not my area of concern - radio works (would like to have a CD player) - I am happy.
I've had my '19 Lariat Ultimate for almost 3 months now. In that time I've put 5700 miles on it and just under 3000 of that has been towing my travel trailer. It's an amazing truck, I absolutely love it.
Not sure if you have a dealer already but my brother and I both bought 18’s. Mine a 250 and his a 350 and Irwin in Laconia seems to have the best deals. They low ball you on your trade in but places like Grappone, Carmax etc will buy yours even if you don’t buy from them. Just food for thought. Good luck, we love ours.
I have a 2019 F250 Platinum diesel. Only had it for 3 weeks. Just put a 4" lift on it. I have owned both 2015 GMC dmax Denali and 2015 RAM cummins mega limited. I dumped them both when I test drove the Ford.
By far the best built truck I have ever owned (fit and finish). I put around 20-25K miles a year on my rigs. I am pretty stoked to see how this thing handles all the miles.
I have a 2017 Plat 450. I know it's not a '19 but I had to chime in... I have almost 40,000 mostly highway miles. Absolutely flawless. First diesel was a dodge Cummins ('94) then several Duramax Chevys. All were good pickups and no serious complaints about them. With all honesty, my 450 is without question, the best pickup I've owned. I'm **** about maintenance and do it mostly myself (unless I get lazy). And, I haven't mentioned the turning radius.

Thanks.. will look into it. My local dealer hasn't got back to me yet ..I do have an x plan pin.

Sounds as though you have a good truck that’s been problem free. While the new SD look good, the new F150’s and SD’s are not the same trucks, as their predecessors.
You may want to sit inside and check the seats first off to see if you are comfortable. The seat covering materials are less durable, seat bottoms are shorter, and some have really complained about being uncomfortable, while others feel fine. And a short test ride may not be enough seat time to determine if they will be comfortable for you. Although I did read a couple comments where the test drives, were enough to not buy. Most others read the forums, bought anyway, then came back to complain after reading.
Bottom line, the Aluminum won’t rust, but the new trucks use same bodies between F150 and Super Duty’s, so read the forums from 2015 and up for F150 and 2017 and up SD’s. Electrical, Mechanical, Functional and Water Leakage Issues have been mentioned.
Do the research and extended overnight and/or weekend test drives, may have to rent, if you don’t have a good dealer and decide. Ford builds lots of trucks, some cases of widespread issues on certain....door latches not working or freezing, cooled and heated seats not functioning, to name a couple. Some people don’t mind the issues and inconvenience and loss of use, others have traded out and moved to another truck or different brand.
Odds are you will get a good truck, and may be lucky and you will have minor issues, or no issues and be happy.
But do yourself a favor, keep driving your good truck for a while, read the forums, check for complaints or problems on line, and if you decide to purchase, you will have full knowledge of what your buying going in.
