Was that a stock replacement engine?
Is this a stock F150 with stock sized tires?
Single or dual tank? If dual do they both work?
Exactly how did you calculate fuel milage?
7mpg is pretty bad but first thing to understand is how you arrived at that number, you simply can't do it based on the fuel gauge because they are notoriously inaccurate. The truck could have the fuel transfer problem if it's dual tank, the computer could be fubar, fuel pressure could be high or the regulator could be leaking, MAP sensor could be out of range, O2 sensor disconnected or dead. And it wouldn't be unusual to find out you have several of those problems with each one compounding the losses, lots of possibilities so work through the list one at a time until everythng has been covered.
mr, conanski not sure motor came back stock trying to find paper work . it is not stock anymore 4:10 gears 37x 14.50 swampers limited slip it does havedual tanks and both work . figured fuel by trip meter it had 77miles took 11 gallons to fill up.
