Now it’s hunting season up here in the great white north, I’ve delevoped a clunk/knock right under the cab in a 17 250 CCSB all stock gasser 4x4. Haven’t hit a stump or anything. Seems when I hit deeper holes or descend down a steeper grade and hit hole there is a horrific knock under the truck. When you stop and investigate it seems it comes from right under the middle of the cab? Exhaust knocking against the driveline or something? Can’t see anything broken. Truck only has 15000 Km and only towed up until a month ago when hunting opened.
I experience the same noise that seems to come from front left area around the firewall. I haven't noticed it driving unloaded, but have experienced it when towing our fifth wheel.
Check your drop hitch, the play in the sleeve drives everyone crazy, I take mine out when I’m not actively towing something. Drives me crazy that it has that much work Igor room. Maybe that’s it for you also...
