Roller Cam?

I have an 84 F150 2WD with a 302. Would it have a roller cam or a flat tappet? If it doesn't have the roller cam, what year engines did?

Hey Ed,

I'm not sure but I think in 1984 the 302 cid's are equiped with rollers.
You should also ask this question in the 302 engine chapter, I think there you get more information.

actually i dont think that they had the rollers till late 80's early 90's with the exception of the 5.0 ho that was in the stang'

i had a 90 f150 with a 5.0 and i don't think it was a roller. it did not have the guides under the valve covers
