why do you want to remove the FICM?
It is amazing how much better one fresh injector can make the motor run.

It’s kind of a cheesy fix but you can cut a piece of heater hose to fit under the FICM plugs to hold them in place. It will lay right on the valve cover flange. If you notch it for the valve cover hold down bolt, it won’t be able to move around. Rubber is a little softer than a zip tie so maybe less chaffing.

Alright guys, so I got it running, replaced the failing injector, and glow plugs. Took it for a short drive and so far no codes yet. The issue now...
Under load my scanner under power balance is showing the passenger side injectors failing under load (driving)...while idling they are perfectly fine...
What should I look at? Or am I looking at passenger side injectors as well?
Injector just replaced was #4

Underload miss makes me think it could be fuel pressure related, have you changed Fuel Filters do you know if it has the bluespring fuel pressure regulator upgrade, It could also be a HPO issue with the dummy plugs or SCT fitting, Best way to test HPO system is to use an air compressor and fittings to pressurize the system then close the IPR valve with 12v or IDS(not sure about AE) and listen for hissing leaks. Is it hard to start when engine is warm?

And with the hard start yes, not sure if it was something I did but I followed torque specs and sequences. When I bought it, it would start when warm almost right away but now it is cranking for like 6-8 sec before it will start up, but once it does it's fine. Cold or hot it's the same.
Also while driving the ficm showed 48.5-49 volts under load, cruising or idle. I even zip tied the plugs to the ficm, heavy duty zip ties
