We have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT 2.5L Supercab 4x2 manual transmission which we purchased 3 years ago. It has 101,000 miles on it. It's my first Ford. It's my second pickup (first was an '89 Mazda B2200 regular cab). I'm keeping it running, gradually trying to improve it and learn a little more about working on it. I'm generally pleased with the truck though of course it has some issues.
I know folks like photos, so here's a photo of the truck snapped this afternoon. We use this truck as a daily driver, and to haul materials needed to renovate our house (not the house in the background).
It has a little cab corner rot, and the frame has been attacked by New England winter road treatment (previous owner spent a ton of money getting that addressed with some success). But it does the job.
