Another dumb question - Engine parts suppliers?

Why is it that I can find valve kits (valves, springs, etc.) for a 239 Y-block on Ebay when I do a google search, but I can't find any main parts suppliers? Where are the Ebay sellers buying their parts? Elgin Industries appears to be one supplier... are there others?

Have you tried anyone else? Autozone, NAPA, Summit? Are you talking about mains and rods? What about cam bearings? Or are you looking for a complete rebuild kit? Have you tried mummert?
