The weather is finally starting to cool a little bit in the evenings so it's wood splitting time and then leaf raking time. I love the Fall, but it's always busy for me.
....found a nice small hole in the drivers side cat on my 01........Welded that sucker closed! We'll see how long it lasts...hopefully through winter!!
Already have the Jeep on the trailer and packed up for the 4 day weekend to Rausch Creek Off-Road Park. Going to work my F150 for the 5 hour pull through New York and Scranton, PA areas. This will be it's longest pull through the mountains since I bought it this past January.
I've always wanted to check out that offroad park, but haven't gotten around to it yet. How do you like it?
It's a great place with something for all levels of rig. It's well marked, they provide colored maps to show the green, blue, black and red trails along with the names of certain obstacles like yellowjacket, crucible, cemetary, etc. My club goes down once a year and have a great time. Here are a couple pictures.
This is my rig that I towed down. The truck pulled it down there like it was nothing.
I just looked and I guess I haven't taken a picture when they've been hooked up. I'll try to remember to do that. The Jeep is a 94 YJ with 4.0 and 5 speed. It's sitting on a Ford 8.8 rear axle with 4.88 gears and Detroit locker. Front axle is a Wagoneer D44 with 4.88 gears and Detroit. Everything from the Cs out is 1976 Bronco to get 5x5.5 lug pattern. The wheel base has been extended a few inches and I built a custom cage tied into the frame in 6 places. It's sitting on 37x13x5x15 Pitbull Rockers on DIY beadlocks.
