Transmission Swap
I swapped in a 73 C6 into my 68 F100 and I spliced the gear from the 73 C6 and the female connection from my 68 together. Barring having my wife pace me or do alot of math. Does the actual speedo have to be calibrated or do I need a different gear for the C6 to match the 68? Seems like it's a little off.

the gear should match the rear end. if you go to the dealer and tell them your axle code /gears, they should be able to set you up with the right gear to fit your cable. so u will need a gear to a 73 with the same rear as your 68 considering the speedos are the same sync, i am not sure on that i would do some checking, i only know what a friend had to do to his 64 car when he swapped. i am suprised the ends were different from a 68 c6 to a 73? the gear should go with the truck considering the tires and such are stock.. hope i didnt get this bass ackwards. dealer should help
