Progress on the '54

so I got the truck painted and much of the minor assembly done, it was finally time for it to go to the shop and get some professional attention and wrap up a four year long project!

That was the problem, the previous guy working on my truck just didn't have time! I was mostly the previous guy - CharlieLED was a tremendous help and did a lot of the early, hard stuff for me!

Great looking truck !!!
Boy do I understand not having time to get to my truck !! It has been in the body shop for 2 1/2 years now and all I get is excuses. And all he has is the cab, doors, and the hood. And I have supplied all the replacement steel so he wouldn’t have to even look for it. Everything else was so far gone that I am replacing it. Honestly have built out everything I can and now I’m just waiting......... decided that I will go backwards...... going to build the bed and fit it. I guess I’m thinking that way I’m not just standing still.......

I wish I could take more credit for it! CharlieLed a couple of posts up deserves a huge amount of credit!

But I'm hopeful that it will be on the road by November or December and that I can enter it in the F100 Western nationals this time around!

The truck is now at BRC Fabrication in Brea - so that shop is not mine! He's doing the interior (which reminds me, I need to get him a photo of what I'm looking for), the wiring, and some of the detail/finish work like mounting the remote oil filter (coyote engine and the stock placement wouldn't fit - I did pull the original and buy the remote, but I didn't install it), the fuel lines (I cut most of it up and put the fittings in, but didn't go 100%), the parking brake, etc.
