I'm new to the forum. Working on a rolling resto on a 1965 F100 Custom Cab that I picked up about a month ago. Looking forward to picking everyone's brain for ideas and advice! I have a long block 352 FE coming this week, hopefully it won't be to long before I get it back on the road.

How do you know it's a 352? On sale day, 352/360's magically become 390's!
B&S: 352 = 4.00" x 3.50" / 360 = 4.05" x 3.50" / 390 = 4.05" x 3.78."
1958/64 FE engines were only installed in cars, have a different bolt pattern on the block where the rubber insulators bolt on than the 1965/76 blocks.
These engines also have rounded valve covers without holes for smog valve/oil filler cap, have an oil filler tube on the right (passenger side) front of the block.

Door tag, block and head casting numbers are correct for a 352. In any case, that's the motor I ordered so that's what's going in it.
Are you sure that thing needs to be restored? It looks amazing!!!
Lol! Thanks! It has a few things that need done. That ugly rear bumper is going to come off, disc brake conversion, redone interior, and eventually the body and paint.

It's a dealer installed step bumper. Here in CA, the Fey Bumper Co. was the largest supplier, gave dealers a rack where 10 different bumpers could be displayed.
Dealers that sold a lot of trucks put the racks in their showrooms, so potential buyers could see all the choices. Ford didn't offer a factory step bumper till 1969.
Several days after I bought a new 1965 F100 Styleside, installed a Fey step bumper, the type that didn't wrap around.
Good luck with the '352' you bought, because 390's installed in cars used the same block & head casting numbers.
