Originally posted by 1956MarkII That's Ford's rule, not the dealers'. At our dealership, we guarantee the rebate that's in effect at the time you order the vehicle. If the rebate goes down, you're covered. If the rebate goes up, you get the higher rebate. For example: you order a new truck and today's current rebate is $1,500. We guarantee that the rebate will be at least $1500 when you take delivery. If the rebate drops to $1000, then you still get the $1500. If the rebate GOES UP to $2000, then you'll get $2000. Again, that's our own dealership's policy, not Ford's. We rarely lose money, and the extra business it generates more than makes up for it. BTW, that policy drives our local competitors CRAZY!
mark...sounds like you guys are a great dealership. As I have said before, I buy paper from local dealerships and some of our's are BAD! what a refreshing encouragement to hear how you guys do business and take care of your customers. i wish more dealerships saw the value of treating customers right over taking them to the cleaners. Its guys like you that make buying a car a pleasurable experience rather than one you hate to have to do. Keep up the good work.
Since I wrote the orginal tread, Ford has announced a $1500 rebate on F250/350. Plus a $300 rebate if you own your own company. They also announced a loyalty rebate on the '04 F150.
I took the bait and ordered a '04.

A little explanation for anyone NOT from this area. My boss's father, Howard Van Bortel, was famous for starting "$49.00 over invoice" selling back in the seventies. His nickname was "Shady Deals." Anyone who knew him always referred to him as Shady, not Howard. He gave himself the nickname, and here's how it started: he sold his first used car when he was a kid, under the elm tree in his parent's front yard. He put a sign next to it that read, "for the shadiest deal in town, see Howard Van Bortel." The name stuck for the rest of his career. I'm sure a few of you assumed that he EARNED the name. Not so, but this IS the car business!
Originally posted by Superdog Does anyone have the details on the 2004 F150 loyalty rebate. Is it for real? How much? Is it offered everywhere? Thanks in advance for the info!
It applies to the regular cab and super cab models only- not the supercrew. You have to show proof that you or someone in your household owns a '97 or newer F-Series or Ranger (don't have to trade it in). I believe it's a nation-wide program, but give me your ZIP code and I can tell you for sure if you qualify.
just closed on a new truck 1000.00 rebate, + 500.00 for going through Ford finance + 300.00 for appling for the loan as a business. Every bit helps on a 40,000 dollar truck
You have to give them some sort of paperwork to show you own a business (be creative if necessary). You get the $300 or up to $1200 in accessaries. Good luck.
You get $300 for owning your business or $500 if you buy $1200 worth of accessories not provided by Ford that help in your business (F-150's). It becomes $1000 on F-250's and larger... Wish they won't discriminate against us 1/2 ton owners.

I had to have my Ins. agent send in a Cert of general liability to prove I had a business. After reading on the form about the Comercial rebate I asked my dealer about it and he increased my 300. rebate right to a thousand and had to give him copies of at least 1200.00 worth of add ons IE weather guard boxes,Draw bars etc.
