Hello I am about to purchase a used truck- can't shell out the $40,000 + for new. I need at least a F250, have had several gas but am now driving a E350 with the 7.3 and love it. What my pocket and the current market says is an diesel F250 with about 100,000 to 135,000, several are available today. But I just found a gas 2010 F350 moderately loaded with 106,000 for $17,500 in excellent condition. I was really pushing for the diesel but after getting on these forums I think that would be foolish without complete maintenance records.
Thanks in advance,
Tim

I think the first question to ask yourself is do you need the diesel? Diesel comes with a ton of disadvantages when we take away the emotional "grasp" that pulls us in. Having owned a 2013 F350 with the 6.7 and now a 2004 F350 with the 6.0, I would recommend against the diesel unless you NEED it. Gas is cheaper, less maintenance and will just about do the same job with just higher RPMs. Let us know how you end up
