OEM Aluminum wheel weight rating.

Hopefully this is a post with a simple answer.

I'm putting aluminum wheels from a 2001 Explorer on a 1994 Crown Victoria. They are the 16x7 -12mm offset (Hollander #3416) wheels. Here's the rub: I need to know what Ford's weight rating is on the wheels. An internet search shows that the Explorer weighs 3800-4100 lbs. whereas my Crown Vic weighs around 3700 lbs. which is not an issue. The issue I have is that the front of the car now weighs 6-700 lbs. more than stock and I ASSUME that I'd be good with the Explorer/Ranger GVWR being more than that. The reason for NEEDING Ford OEM wheels is due to the hub pilot nature because I don't want the five 1/2" studs holding the weight of the car.

Any ideas on what the actual Explorer wheel rating is vs. the stock black steel cop car rims I'm using now?

Thanks!

I will try to look at a snow flake and tear drop 15x7 and 16x7 that I have in the garage tomorrow. Weight capacity is on the back iirc.

Neither of those wheels has a weight rating. F87A 1007 HA and BC. I searched under those numbers and no weight ratings are mentioned.

Those are very light weight wheels, weighing about 16lbs iirc. But, they hold up under a V8 Exploder, and wheel failures are not talked about.

The ones you pictured are newer, so I wouldn't be afraid to run them with the weights you are talking.

Sorry, thought that weight rating was on everything. Maybe just aftermarket wheels.

Thanks a lot for taking the time!
I just wanted to cover my bases because I'm absolutely positive that Ford had never forseen the installation of a 7.3L in a Crown Victoria when it rolled off of the assembly line.
