Good progress on the disassembly!
Your truck is certainly in far better condition than my F-47.

Do you have any pictures of the tail gate and the box?

Thanx,

I've been trying to figure out the differences between the F-47 and the F-1. Although they are very similar, there are some key differences.
In 1950 there was no 'globalization'. Literally every single piece of your truck was made in Canada. If you are lucky you may even find some of the original ford lightbulbs in place. They will be stamped made in Canada.

One of the differences i've been trying to sort out is the box. These days most boxes that are in good shape are after market replacements from the US.
My 1950 box has 9 boards with a wider center board and FORD block lettering on the tailgate.
In the USA they used 8 boards that were evenly sized, and they switched from the script lettering to block lettering later than we did.
I believe we changed to block lettering in mid 1950.

Your truck is in excellent shape, so your project should roll along smoothly. Keep us updated with lots of pictures.

Interesting. Ford USA switched to the block lettering on tailgates in 1953 with the new generation but the block letters are different than the Canadian block letters of 50,51, and 52.
