Sensor Locations????? 97 Awd 4.0
HAD ROUGH IDLE ON WIFE'S 4.0 -SO CHECKED VACUUM LEAK AND DIDNT FIND ANY-THROTTLE BODY WAS COMPLETELY BLACK SO I TOOK IT OFF AND CLEANED IT-NOW WONT IDLE FOR MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS BEFORE DYING. THE AIR FILTER IS CLEAN AND THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR AS WELL. WHERE IS THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE? IS THE TPS ON THE THROTTLE BODY?REALLY CONFUSED HERE -APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU GUYS CAN GIVE-THANKS

Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is located on the top right hand side of the upper intake manifold. A cylindrical looking affair about the diameter of a 50 cent piece and 6-7 inches long. It has an electrical connector and is held on by two bolts.
The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is found on the very front of the throttle body on the right hand side. A black, plastic box with an electrical connector.

Gentlemen -Thank you !!!!! Thanks to you I successfully found and cleaned the sensors and with the replacement of the vacuum hose to the power brake booster my wifes car is back to running like new.Thanks again for all your help.
