2001 tail lights ????????
Ok i am replacing my tail lights with the clear ones I think, but the ones I like fit a 99. I have a 2001 off road. I have had 2 others in the past a 92 and a 93 and I think a 99 will fit the 2001 but not sure don't want to make an expensive booboo any one help. ps I also have the infimus drive shaft problem, it’s at the ford dealer getting replaced as we speak the dealer said ford has a new one to fix the problem they said the spline was not smooth enough and the new one is supposedly??? We will see.

2001 tail lights ????????
The shape of the tailights from '93 up is the same. The difference from the '99 and the '01's are that the '99's have amber turn indicators, on the top of the molding. Same with the '98's
The '01-'03's have just the brake light, and reverse light which is on top.
When I replaced my '03 tails to '00, I had to modify the reverse light socket, to accomidate(SP) the bulb housing. But they worked.
So to anwser your question, they will fit the truck, but the sockets could be different, and you'll be without a turn signal indicator, unless you wire the turn into the brakelight.

i bought some euro tail lights for it from ebay for 41 bones they will look great oh yeah the dealer is replacing my driveshaft with a one peice 4" alum. that will fix the problem i am having with the drive shaft they said that they didn't want to put the stock one back in it because i will be back in a month complaining of the same crap
