IGNITOR 1 is old tech and prone to failure. I don't know why they don't drop it.

Be sure to replace condenser too, it controls the flow to ground as the coil field collapses. If it burned points, and you didn't leave the key on for an excessive amount of time, it needs a condenser too

That point set is junk. Try to find FORD MOTORCRAFT) B8Q 12171-A points and C9AZ 12300-A condenser.

Do not replace a good condenser (MOTORCRAFT) until it is diagnosed as faulty. The latest after-market parts being pawned off are off-shore junk.

ADDENDUM-

The MOTORCRAFT PN for the points is DP-12 and condenser DC-13A if this helps anyone. SUMMIT still carries them.

The points and condenser are still available from Ford. A Ford (Motorcraft) condenser is NOT made in China like the aftermarket junk ones are.
OP, I don't like that gouge I see in the Dizzy's primary wire. The wire could be grounding out there. If you can't find one aa a local parts store, Ford part number C7VY12216A is at Green sales. 1-800-543-4959.

Before mounting the points don't forget to put some silicone dielectric grease on the point's rubbing block.

It must be nice to be young and actually be able to see things. I missed that entirely.

But I have no choice. I am not allowed to actively promote the fact I can sell members Ford parts. I can tell people I am a Ford parts man. And I would sell parts at Dealer Cost plus 10% like one of the sponsors would.
