Check Engine Brake Light on

Yesterday My check engine lightcame on when I left the house.It went outafter I got up to highway speeds. Today it stayed on the entire trip.I pulled the codes and got a 452 My scanner code book says Vehicle Speed Sensor. My Haynes manuel dosn't list this. Is it on the rear end?I don't feel or see any problems with the truck. Is it normal for the brake light to come on with the check engine light? Thanks SAV

yes i think there is a speed sensor at the rearend for the ABS

check the wiring harness first, it may have come loose or a wire may have rubbed on something and simply shorted.

Check the sensor with an Ohmmeter. Found a reference somewhere that said resistance should be 1000 Ohms to 2500 Ohms.
