I have a 77 f100 I ordered a new gas tank without eec vent valve.....after pulling mine out I realized mine had the eec vent....do I have to have it ?....thanks
Not sure i understand on reversing the filler lines.....
On mine alone I ran into using a gas tank from previous owner install , an he had installed the wrong tank an lines were different but in the long run should be alright running with a vented fuel cap
Pretty sure he means the metal filler and vent line tank connection (metal to rubber) tubes on the none EEC tank are switched in position versus the filler neck. The pick is a 76 F100 and on a ECC tank the vent line might be fwd of the fill tube? In the pic the vent tube is aft of the fill neck. Make sense? That is what he means by reversed.

Exactly what I meant , my 79 F100 had ECC tank originally an filler tank lines reversed when previous owner installed a non ECC tank
Ol ok on the eec tank (old tank) the small rubber hose is on the left of the main filler tube....on the new tank it's on the right...whitch no problem.....with a vented cap should be ok ???
